Expert Guidance

Our Methodology

Transparent, evidence-based research and content creation standards that ensure every nutrition recommendation on Dietexpertbookings meets rigorous editorial quality criteria. We believe in open processes, qualified sources, and continuous improvement.

From initial concept to publication, each article undergoes systematic review by licensed nutritionists and editorial specialists to deliver information you can trust.

Editorial Mission

Dietexpertbookings is committed to publishing nutrition information that is accurate, accessible, and grounded in current evidence. Our editorial team works exclusively with licensed nutritionists, registered dietitians, and peer-reviewed research to ensure every article serves readers' genuine need for reliable guidance.

We operate as an independent editorial platform. We do not promote commercial products, and we maintain strict separation between informational content and any business relationships. Our goal is to empower readers with knowledge about personalized nutrition planning and the role of qualified nutrition professionals.

Quality is non-negotiable. Every statement, recommendation, and sourced fact is verified against established guidelines and scientific literature before publication.

Core Principles

  • Evidence-based: All claims reference peer-reviewed research or official nutrition guidelines.
  • Transparent: We disclose sources, limitations, and when expert opinions differ.
  • Qualified authors: Content is written or reviewed by licensed professionals.
  • Audience-focused: Every article addresses reader questions in plain language.
  • Continuously updated: We review and refresh articles when guidelines or research evolves.

Six-Step Content Development Process

Every article on Dietexpertbookings follows a structured workflow designed to ensure accuracy, relevance, and clarity. Here is how we develop, review, and publish nutrition content.

1

Topic Selection & Audience Research

We identify article topics based on reader questions, current nutrition trends, professional expertise gaps, and Croatian health community interests. Our editorial team reviews search data, reader feedback, and consultation patterns with licensed nutritionists to prioritize topics that address real needs.

Each topic undergoes a preliminary assessment: Is there evidence-based information available? Are there legitimate questions readers ask? Does it fit our scope (personalized nutrition, nutritionist guidance, general wellness)? Topics are rejected if they fall outside our editorial boundaries or lack sufficient scientific support.

Editorial Scope: We publish content about nutrition fundamentals, balanced eating patterns, personalized nutrition planning, nutrient roles, meal composition, and professional guidance. We explicitly avoid medical content, drug interactions, and claims outside nutrition science.

2

Source Research & Literature Review

Writers conduct systematic research using multiple primary sources. We prioritize peer-reviewed journals, official nutrition guidelines (Croatian Ministry of Health, EFSA, WHO), professional organizations (Croatian Chamber of Nutritionists, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics), and reputable textbooks. Secondary sources are cross-checked against primary evidence.

All claims are logged with source citations. If evidence is conflicting or limited, we note the disagreement and explain why. We document publication years, study populations, and any relevant limitations—this transparency helps readers understand the strength of evidence.

Accepted Source Types: Peer-reviewed journals, government health agencies, professional dietetics associations, accredited universities, clinical trial databases (ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed), and published nutritional guidelines.

Excluded Sources: Supplement company marketing, unverified blogs, social media claims, blog posts without attribution, paid advertorials, and sources without author credentials.

3

Draft Writing & Expert Consultation

The assigned writer creates a first draft based on research, structured with clear headings, accessible language, and practical examples. Technical terms are explained; complex concepts are broken into digestible sections. The draft is organized to answer the most common reader questions first.

The draft is then sent to a licensed nutritionist or registered dietitian for expert review. Reviewers assess scientific accuracy, check that claims align with current guidelines, identify any oversimplifications, and note where evidence is insufficient. This step ensures professional credibility and catches errors before wider circulation.

If substantive changes are needed, the writer revises and resubmits. If reviewer feedback is minor, revisions are incorporated directly. All expert feedback is documented.

4

Editorial Review & Fact-Checking

An independent editor reviews the revised draft for:

  • Accuracy: All facts are verified against cited sources. Numbers, percentages, and recommendations are cross-checked.
  • Clarity: Sentences are clear, jargon is explained, structure flows logically from introduction to conclusion.
  • Completeness: All major questions are answered; no critical information is missing.
  • Tone: The article is professional, neutral, and balanced—not promotional or alarmist.
  • Sources: Every citation is present and formatted correctly; quotes are in context.

If fact-checking uncovers errors or unsupported claims, sections are rewritten or flagged for expert review. The article does not proceed to publication until all editorial criteria are met.

5

Final Approval & Publication Metadata

The final version is reviewed by the Editorial Director to confirm it meets all publication standards. At this stage, publication metadata is added: article category, author byline, publication date, expert reviewer credit, and a full reference list. A brief editor's note is included if disclaimers or context limitations are important.

Once approved, the article is formatted for web publication and scheduled. All articles include a visible publication date and note of when they were last updated. This helps readers understand the currency of information and encourages us to refresh articles regularly as guidelines evolve.

6

Monitoring, Updates & Reader Feedback

After publication, articles are monitored for reader questions, errors, and feedback. When nutrition guidelines change or new high-quality research emerges that contradicts our content, we update the article and note the revision date. Every article has a mechanism for readers to suggest corrections or ask clarifying questions.

We do not delete outdated articles; instead, we add an update notice explaining what changed and why. This maintains transparency and allows readers to see how our understanding evolves. Articles older than 18 months are reviewed annually to ensure they reflect current guidance.

Quality Assurance Criteria

Every article published on Dietexpertbookings must meet these mandatory standards before it reaches readers.

Evidence Documentation

Every factual claim must have a source citation. Sources must be verifiable (no "personal communication" unless attributed). If evidence is limited or contradictory, this must be stated explicitly.

Author Credentials

Articles must be written by or reviewed by a licensed nutritionist, registered dietitian, or credentialed health professional. The reviewer's name and credentials appear with the article.

Scope Compliance

Content must stay within our editorial scope (nutrition science, healthy eating, personalized nutrition, professional guidance). Medical diagnosis, treatment, or pharmaceutical content is excluded.

Clarity & Accessibility

Articles must be written in clear, plain language. Technical terms are defined. Content is structured with headings and short paragraphs. Readers without nutrition background must be able to understand the main ideas.

Neutral Tone

Articles present balanced information. Competing viewpoints are acknowledged. Language is objective—no alarmist phrases, unproven promises, or promotional language. We are educators, not marketers.

Every article displays its publication date and last update date. Author and reviewer names are visible. A full reference list is provided. Readers always know who wrote the content and when.
